10/17/2016 CGB-DS Announces Agreement with Global Ag Risk Solutions to Deliver Production Cost Insurance to America’s Farmers

CGB-Diversified Services President, Ron Miiller, announced today that an agreement was made to deliver Production Cost Insurance (PCI) to America’s farmers. PCI, developed by Global Ag Risk Solutions (GARS) provides a unique revenue insurance for the three major operational inputs—fertilizer, seed, and chemicals— and an additional specific amount of revenue per acre.

“The PCI product allows us to show our customers a new and viable option in their risk management plan,” explained Jeff Baumgart, National Marketing Manager. “We continue to strive to find ways to help our customers protect their revenue and preserve their equity.”

“The skill and expertise of our agents combined with the PCI product is mutually beneficial for both our farming customers and agents,” said Miiller. “It is our utmost desire to help our customers make the best risk management decisions they can for their operations by working with someone they trust. By offering this product, our customers have an alternate solution to consider with the obstacles that they encounter in their operations.”

PCI is a private, revenue-based solution that insures the most utilized inputs on crops—fertilizer, seed, and chemicals as well as an additional specific amount of revenue per acre. PCI encourages farm managers to do what the farm needs, when it is needed. There is no ceiling nor an effect on premium as input costs rise. This insurance can be used as collateral with major banks. Each agreement is personally analyzed and prepared. Claims are paid quickly.

This product will be available for the 2017 crop season.

04/25/2014 United National Casualty Insurance Company (UNCIC) receives notification from A.M.Best of A- (Excellent) rating

CGB Diversified Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the finalization of the purchase, state approvals and A.M. Best rating of United National Casualty Insurance Company (UNCIC). UNCIC  will become our platform insurance company for issuing all crop insurance policies moving forward and will be renamed CGB Insurance Company (CGBIC) prior to beginning the 2015 reinsurance year.

We have received a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) from A.M. Best for UNCIC.  This rating confirms to those outside our organization the financial strength and commitment to handling our policyholder’s insurance needs. This rating will provide our agents and policyholders with peace of mind when choosing Diversified Crop Insurance Services as their crop insurance provider.

Our thanks to each of you for completing the required background check form as this has allowed us to get you properly licensed under UNCIC in order to write business in approved states for the spring sales closing dates of 2014.

If your state has received approval and you have been appointed under UNCIC, your MPCI policies for the spring sales closing dates have been transferred to UNCIC as the policy issuing company. We have confirmed with the RMA their approval to make these transfers without obtaining new applications. The states where we have not yet received state approval will continue to be written by GuideOne, the same as in the past. The following are the states where approval has not been received:  Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. All 2014 private product policies will continue to be written by GuideOne and will transition to CGBIC in 2015.

For the 2014 reinsurance year, UNCIC will operate under the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) of GuideOne which provides additional protection since GuideOne is also an A rated company by A.M. Best. For the 2015 year, we have submitted the required plan of operations to the RMA for CGBIC to be approved as an SRA holder and anticipate approval by July 1, 2014. We will continue to have an ongoing relationship with GuideOne to assist in states where CGBIC is still awaiting approval.

If you have questions about the changes outlined above please give me a call or respond directly to this email and I will be glad to help.

Thanks for choosing Diversified Crop Insurance Services.
